Find an Internship

Professional internships are not optional in today’s day and age -- not for business students. That’s because no organization has the time or resources for a long ramp-up time, so an employee’s ability to add value quickly is essential. Only those who have on-the-job experience can do that.

The Pitt Business Career Development team will work with you to identify suitable internships and to customize your resume for each internship for which you wish to apply. We believe all students should have multiple internships and that it is never too early to start your first one.  Internships are a good barometer for if your desired profession is the right path for you and they open doors in your network and lead to future jobs. About 90 percent of Pitt Business students complete an internship, with two to three internships on average.

The Tafel Internship Scholarship Program provides students with financial support for internships that qualify as significant, professional business internships but which provide little or no compensation for the Pitt Business student.

In addition to the face-to-face advising support, Pitt Business students can use Handshake as their one-stop shop for their internship search, as it offers the ability to:

  • Apply for Internships
  • Schedule On-Campus Interviews
  • Register to Pitt Business-specific Events
  • Schedule Appointments with the Career Development Team
  • View Employer Information
