The Pitt Business Music and Entertainment Academy was launched by Executive in Residence and Music Producer, Claye Greene (BlueSoulTen). Students are given the opportunity to learn about different business aspects of the music and entertainment industry. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a Pitt Business Certificate of Completion.
What You Learn
The Music and Entertainment Academy takes students behind the creative side of music and shows them how the business of music actually works – how careers are built, how deals are structured, who gets paid, who owns the music, and the decisions artists and music professionals have to make along the way.

Student Eligibility
All school years within Pitt Business are eligible regardless of major and GPA.
Schedule
The program typically runs during the fall semester in-person or virtually and is comprised of approximately six two-hour sessions.
How to Apply
Undergraduate business students should apply on Handshake by searching in the “Events” tab for the name of program and following directions after registering for the event. Please note that registering for the event is different than applying. Students must submit a MS form to apply.
