
In the Analytics Institute, students will build practical data analytics skills while creating a professional portfolio project that demonstrates their ability to turn data into business insights. Throughout this five-session co-curricular experience, students will learn industry-relevant tools and workflows, including GitHub, Jupyter Notebooks, data analysis, storytelling, and executive-level communication.
Participants will select a dataset of interest, conduct exploratory and analytical work, and develop a polished GitHub portfolio project that can be shared with employers and added to their professional portfolio.
What You Learn
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Use Git and GitHub to manage analytics projects
- Conduct exploratory data analysis using Jupyter Notebooks
- Clean, organize, and prepare datasets for analysis
- Apply data storytelling principles to communicate findings
- Create a professional, portfolio-ready analytics project
- Present data-driven recommendations to a business audience
