Professional Development Consultants (PDCs)

The School of Business’s Career Development Professional Development Consultants (PDCs) play a critical role in serving the Pitt Business community. Our PDCs see on average 600 students a year-roughly one-third of the total number of students who use Pitt Business Career Development. The PDC position is more than a normal work-study or the typical student-employee position.

PDCs are enthusiastic student leaders who recognize the value of career development and want to support fellow students with their career-related needs. PDCs participate in individual peer advising, campus outreach, special projects, peer mentoring, and event programming. In addition, the PDCs will work as office assistants, providing general administrative support and customer service.
