Requirements for Guaranteed Admission to the College of Business Administration for Students at Other Pitt Campuses (Bradford, Greensburg, Johnstown, and Titusville)
For students enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh by Fall 2015 (2161) or Earlier
- Completion of at least 30 credits at the University of Pittsburgh applicable to the BSBA degree and including the required prerequisites to business courses.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.00 in all courses taken at the University of Pittsburgh.
- A minimum overall GPA of 3.00* in the required prerequisites to business courses.
*For guaranteed admission, we will calculate your GPA without including the effect of course repeats in the prerequisites. The original grade earned in each course will be counted. Also, if you opt to take any business courses prior to admission to Pitt Business, please be aware that your performance in them can impact your admissibility. Grades below B in business courses can negatively impact your admission to Pitt Business even if you have met the guarantee requirements in the prerequisite courses.
If you transferred to the University of Pittsburgh from another college, please be aware that your performance at your previous school will be considered during the admissions process to Pitt Business. Poor performance at a prior college can negatively impact your admission even if you have otherwise met the guarantee requirements. It is important to discuss prior college performance with your academic advisor and any impact it may have on admission.
If you have a strong academic history and would have been admissible as a freshman, you may not need to complete 30 credits or all of the prerequisites before applying.
