Internal Transfer Guidelines

For students enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh by Fall 2015 (2161) or Earlier

Students enrolled on Pittsburgh campus or at a Pitt regional campus can complete the first 30 credits of the Pitt Business curriculum. Prior to entering, you can complete required prerequesites to business courses and begin fulfilling the BSBA general-education requirements. You will not be eligible to take Pitt Business courses until you have been admitted.

Application Deadlines

Admission to Pitt Business is handled on a rolling basis, which means that there is not a specific application deadline by which to apply. Students are admitted for any of Pitt's three academic semesters: fall (August), spring (January), and summer (May). You are encouraged to apply well in advance of the semester in which you want to enroll. The College of Business Administration reserves the right to close admission for the semester once capacity has been reached.

Next Steps

Apply by completing an Academic Program Change Form (forms can be obtained from the academic program in which you are currently enrolled). Indicate on your form that you want to transfer to the College of Business Administration.
