Executive in Residence: Leadership Development, Strategy, Consulting
Kris Routch is a Leadership Specialist with Deloitte Consulting where he helps manage Deloitte’s Global Leadership practice. He is an expert in the assessment, development, and coaching of leaders at all levels. He has designed and delivered numerous executive development programs to clients around the world and is a highly requested consultant, facilitator, speaker, and coach. In addition, he consults with clients to develop and implement talent management solutions that address both their talent and business needs. Kris brings over 30 years of diverse business experience in which he has held a number of strategic, executive-level positions across numerous business disciplines including finance, operations, supply chain management, procurement, talent management, and executive development.
Prior to Deloitte, Kris was an Executive Consultant at Development Dimensions International (DDI) where he delivered a full spectrum of integrated executive-level talent management solutions. He was a primary architect of the firm's executive development practice and developed numerous integrated, strategic executive level solutions to address key business issues and enhance leadership capabilities at his clients. In addition, he advised governing boards in the assessment and selection of senior officers. He also authored a number of articles and research reports on executive development best practices, trained and certified other senior level facilitators, and was a featured speaker at industry conferences and corporate events.
Prior to his time at DDI, Kris held a number of executive level positions at Bayer Corporation. As Vice-President of Logistics, he managed all logistics activities for Bayer Material Science’s North American business, including warehousing, transportation, and international logistics, as well as logistics strategy, network optimization, and logistics procurement encompassing four major business units with combined revenues of over $3 Billion. As Vice-President of Customer Service he led all customer service activities for the North American region, including domestic and export order-handling activities for all seven of company’s major business units. As Vice-President of Supply Chain Management he created and led the first-ever supply chain management department at Bayer Material Science where he saved millions of dollars of costs while increasing operational efficiencies across the organization. Prior to his time as a Supply Chain executive, Kris was the Controller for one of Bayer’s largest businesses where he led all financial activities for the business.
Prior to his time at Bayer, Kris was an Audit Manager at Deloitte where he spent the first 8 years of his career in positions of increasing responsibility within the firm’s audit practice. In addition to his audit responsibilities, he was heavily involved in recruiting activities and also designed and taught courses at the firm’s national training center.
Kris is a long-time resident of the Pittsburgh region where he lives with his wife Linda and their three teenage children. Outside of work, Kris enjoys golfing, coaching youth sports, and cheering for his Pittsburgh sports teams.
