Executive-in-Residence: HR/Diversity

Davie is the Former Senior Manager of Diversity and Inclusion at PNC.  He had the overall corporate-wide management responsibility for the company’s employee business resource groups.  He  managed the growth from eight chapters in 2010 to 64 chapters in 21 of PNC’s markets with a combined membership of over 16,000 employees.

Davie joined PNC in 1997 as the Human Resource Manager in Community Banking, followed by a 10- year assignment as the Director of Strategic College Recruiting.

Prior to PNC, he held human resource positions with the Pittsburgh Mercy Health System, Chase and Johnson & Johnson.  Before starting his corporate career, he served as a Major in the United States Army and a high school teacher.

In addition to Pennsylvania, during his career he has lived in Kentucky, Maryland, Hawaii, Arizona, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

Davie’s formal education includes a B.S. in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a M.S. in Urban Studies from Southern Connecticut State University.

His community activities include: Past Board President, Pittsburgh Community Services, Inc. (a community action agency); former Vice Chair, Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh Charter School; member, Regional Asset District Advisory Board; Vice Chair, Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Trustee Board; Undergraduate Advisor, Omicron Chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc at the University of Pittsburgh; and, Board Member of the Sr. Thea Bowman Scholarship Foundation.

Davie has two grown daughters (both IUP alums), one a PNC employee, a granddaughter and two grandsons.
